Mrs. Lay shared this about her 1st grade class: Our class has enjoyed a wonderful and productive start to 2026. Reflecting on favorite memories and setting goals are excellent ways to brighten the New Year and maintain focus on the months ahead. Students recently shared highlights from their winter breaks and enjoyed creating winter penguins and snowflakes.

 Additionally, the class has been working diligently on literacy, and I am pleased to report that every student has shown significant improvement in their reading skills.

In 7th grade science, students have been learning about energy changes in chemical reactions. Today, they mixed different chemicals and measured temperature changes during each reaction. The class observed that one reaction caused the temperature to increase, while another reaction caused the temperature to decrease. This hands-on activity helped students better understand how energy can be released or absorbed during chemical reactions.
